(These are 3+hrs sessions and you will only be able
to complete one. The training sessions are a combination
of power point presentation and practical
demonstrations.)
Background
Checks are required for all DR volunteers and a $20 fee
is charged
DR Shirts and hats will be available for $10 each
ID picture badges have been standardized, are required,
and will only be issued to Southern Baptist Church
members
Check
in time is important because of administration needs,
that includes pictures for ID badges.
ID badges expire after 3 years and then retraining is
required.
All training is for both men and women. DR volunteers
must be 18 or older.

NHBA Disaster Relief Mud-out Unit:
The NHBA mud-out unit has been operating for 3
years. The unit has a cargo trailer fully equipped with personal safety
items, hand tools, power tools, generator, pumps, pressure washers, and
sanitizing equipment.
All volunteer workers are required to be trained.
The unit maintains a list of volunteers and uses a response system for
call out when needed.
The unit can be deployed where needed for a period of 2 weeks.
The mud-out unit participated in disaster relief efforts in:
S. Western, NH, October 2005
Central, NH, Mother’s Day Flood, 2006
Central, NH, Flood, April 11, 2007
In 2007, there were 46 Jobs completed and 7
Professions of Faith! Other SBC units that came to aid were from
Florida, Illinois, Vermont, Massachusetts, Maine and Tennessee.
