"Sing to the Lord a new song" Psalm 96:1
On Sunday, Jan. 8, 2006, The Campbells wowed us with an excellent concert played to over 90 attendees. This was rescheduled from Dec. 4, 2005 due to Leo Campbell's serious illness. Leo opened the concert with his traditional trumpet solo of "The Old Rugged Cross." The flourishes were especially touching.
During the intermission, The Brunt Family Singers, featuring Alan Frink, sang a few of their songs acapella.
As an extra blessing at the end of the concert, Leo talked a bit about Jesus, the Bible, and the meaning of life. He noted that you have to either believe that Jesus is the Son of God or He is not. Leo then offered to lead anyone in the audience who was willing to do so, to recite with him a sinner's prayer and accept Jesus into their hearts and become a newborn Christian. Praise God because about 10 people accepted the Lord's salvation!
Pastor Jim reminded everyone that there are no "Lone Ranger Christians" and that you need to get involved with Hillside or your local Bible-believing church so that you can grow and become an effective witness for the Lord.
Many stayed afterward for refreshments and fellowship.
The following photos were taken by Michael Frascinella during the concert.
