"Sing to the Lord a new song" Psalm 96:1
New England's First Family of Gospel Music, The Campbells, presented a free Christmas Concert at Hillside on Sunday, Dec. 5th, 2004.
As part of their "Christmas with the Campbells" tour, this musical performance consisted of a blend of traditional Christmas carols and songs, as well as the Southern Gospel music for which the Campbells are well known.
Leo, Cindy, and Sonya put on a fantastic concert for an almost full capacity group. They also did a good job of mixing in some humor such as "The Fruit Cake" song and "Leo's Other Trumpet Solo." During the break, we had a short surprise performance by Alan Frink, who had blessed us with his music in November. Alan used to sing with the Campbells.
For new music, the Campbells did a honky-tonk style song called "Go Tell" and a lively southern gospel number called "When a Savior Dreams." They hope to have these and other songs available on a new album when they return in December 2005.
